***** The girl behind some of Katy Perry and Ke$ha's biggest hits finally releases her own music. While nothing majorly different from what she's done for Katy and Ke$ha, it's still a great pop song. Full of energy with a great, fun chorus. Not sure if this will be a big hit, but I hope Bonnie make a solo career for herself.
**** Heard her perform a medley of songs she penned for other artists (5 of the 7 were from Karty Perry, 1 Kesha and 1 Taio Cruz) and she sounded great so I looked up her debut single. It's a horrid video and very outdated (which I usually love) but it doesn't work. Falls very lat after the order chorus

This is growing on me. Don't think it will be a hit here. *** I only see a little Katy Perry in this and see more Ke$ha instead, especially with the vocals at times. She doesn't have much personality and neither does this song, it sounds like many things I've heard before.

It passes due to the catchy chorus but it's just really not that good. Ashamed to admit I gave this four stars before. Last edited: 28.09.2013 03:45
*** She might be a good/prolific songwriter but it doesn't necesarily translate to a standout artist. And that's how I feel with her. Doesn't stand out at all and just breezes by with no memorable factor.
** The whole 'ooh, she wrote heaps of hit songs and now it's her turn in the spotlight' angle would be interesting if she had written anything of substance, but nah. The whole thing reeks of C-grade quality and makes me appreciate Katy Perry songs more for their merit. One of the worst things I've heard this year.
