I grew to enjoy "Trap Queen", but I'm pretty sure that won't be happening with this.

That might seem strange, because it is exactly the same song, just without the energy or fun that "Trap Queen" had. And when I say exactly the same song, I mean EXACTLY the same song.

There are a couple of times where he repeats lines from "Trap Queen" line-for-line exactly as they were in that song. I guess it makes sense why he called the song "Again" then.

Furthermore, he sounds absolutely crap vocally on this, making it a pretty painful 5 minutes.

How this is already at #4 on US iTunes and making an ascension up the Australian iTunes chart I will never know.

Aussi brouillon que "679" et "My Way"...

The biggest hit of all time on the Billboard charts is Chubby Checker's "The Twist". I don't need to worry about this fact being outdated any time soon because the extreme circumstances of its success (including two separate #1 peaking runs) means that it will effectively never be bested. Why I mention this is that the year after, Chubby Checker had another hit, "Let's Twist Again", because it's always been the tradition to follow up a hit with something similar. I like "Let's Twist Again" more than "The Twist". I just think it's catchier really.

If you've heard "Again", you'll have heard it elsewhere, in the sense that it grabs numerous parts of other Fetty Wap songs and shoves them in here regardless of if they work well ('we call them fans though' perhaps most blatantly). My understanding is that this song was written before "Trap Queen" took off for a bit of a fun call back to his other songs. If it were just on a mixtape it'd be easy to let it pass but it goes under more scrutiny as a standalone single.

But I like this more than "Trap Queen". It's been said enough that the guy can write & deliver a hook like nobody's business. This has it in spades. It's also his most unabashed love song yet, while still maintaining the empathy that "Trap Queen" & "679" showed.

Oh and the beat is wonderful. 4.2
