*** An otherwise decent pop track is somewhat dampened by its production. Most of the effect that the strings are supposed to bring here is negated massively by her loud vocals. There's no variation to them, she's singing at a completely different power to the rest of the track. 2.5
** The mandatory winners single but I would at least want something different other a ballad. I watched The X Factor last year and bemoaned that she won because she was too young IMO (she was only 14 during auditions and turned 15 during live shows) and would of preferred something else than a pop singer to win for once. *** This is not bad but it sounds so much like those Australian Idol winner's singles that were ballads. I mean I can enjoy numerous of them, but hearing a new song in that way is the furthest thing from fresh in 2014. She has good vocals but it's not enough to make this song anything more than nice enough but ultimately nothing special. I was surprised it didn't go to #1 but I'm pleased it didn't because it really doesn't deserve to. I do feel sorry for Marlisa, she's not very marketable at all (not only that but Sony Australia have a habit of screwing over all of their talent show artists, particularly the females) imo so this will probably be the only time she'll ever make the ARIA top 50 singles chart.
