****** This album has taken aspects from the four before it, taking the wit and class from the first, the originality of the second, the emotion of the third and the production of the fourth, to create one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. Opening with huge numbers like Victorious and Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time really set the precedent for this emotionally bittersweet record. House of Memories is the standout, taking everything the band has been known for being good at into one song.

The finish with Impossible Year is an emotional power ballad delivered truthfully by the only band member, Brendon. He has created a truly wonderful album this year - I'll be excitedly waiting for a deluxe edition.

6* |
