******
This album has taken aspects from the four before it, taking the wit and class from the first, the originality of the second, the emotion of the third and the production of the fourth, to create one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. Opening with huge numbers like Victorious and Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time really set the precedent for this emotionally bittersweet record. House of Memories is the standout, taking everything the band has been known for being good at into one song.

The finish with Impossible Year is an emotional power ballad delivered truthfully by the only band member, Brendon. He has created a truly wonderful album this year - I'll be excitedly waiting for a deluxe edition.

6*
Bin eher enttäuscht von diesem Album.
***
The weakest Panic! album to date, that being said it does have some cracking tunes like 'Victorious' and 'LA Devotee'. The album contains the usual wonderful musicianship from Urie, but the whole album feels too animated, like a soundtrack for a maniacal musical.

It's funny because I actually think it's one of Panic!'s strongest sets. I've thought for a long time that Brendon Urie is one of the most talented people in modern pop and I really feel like he shines here. The singles are great and the vocals are stellar (and it's not something you generally come to a Panic! album for either, the vocals). I love Don't Threaten Me With A Good Time and Impossible Year most, but they're all pretty good. I'm sad I didn't get into this at the time when they were releasing singles from here, I was very late to the party. Great album 4.6/6
