I love that vocal run in the chorus, the final note is just awesome. Love this song so much.<br><br>EDIT: I've become a bit weary of this over time - it is a little whiny and can become irritating. Also I wish the bridge built up to something more, just loses its energy!

Über die Stimme von Sam Smith habe ich schon oft genug was gesagt, das muss ich nicht wiederholen. Mir ist der Titel auch zu schmalzig geraten, wozu Sam Smith leider häufiger mal leidet. Für mich kein Highlight seines Repertoires, aber dank seiner Stimme gewiss immer noch über Durchschnitt anzusiedeln. |

thank god I found something I like about it. Smith in the verses just sounds like he's blurting stuff out at random times in the first verse, which kills momentum for the song right from the outset. Couple that with the lame chorus vocals and it's a total disaster, saved by the piano in the bridge that oddly reminds me of Sara Bareilles' Love Song. Australia's worst top 10 hit since Amnesia. |

Technically his highest peaking song on ARIA so far (even though it doesn't seem like it should be) and I would also say is my favourite from Sam to date.<br>This isn't far off the makings of a great ballad. Going into the 2nd verse, this soars. Unfortunately the cohesion was just lost a touch around the bridge. Also the song seems to annoyingly finish too quick. <br>Very good overall. 4.7* |

Kaum vorstellbar, dass die 41. Bewertung nun über 5 Jahre auf sich warten lassen musste. Ein hübscher Song, fast schon ein Klassiker, nur die Tempoerhöhung hätte es nicht wirklich gebraucht, darum ganz knapp keine 5. |
