The tricks seem somewhat obvious, like raising the note of the 2nd word of the second line a few times in the middle to make a melodic pattern that while it's been heard many times before (although in their defence this probably pre-dates most of it), but that doesn't matter because it still really works. Very engaging opener that sets the mood well.
