Now this is where it's at! A return to the sound present on "Read My Lips", which I absolutely adored. Though it does sound a bit different, which is good because it makes it sound fresher and more enjoyable than it otherwise would be. The point still stands though that this of all the tracks on the album is the one that is most reminiscent of her early albums.<br><br>The feeling this track gives me is one of immense happiness, it reminds me so much of when I saw her live. That feeling of belonging, being welcomed, enjoying yourself, expressing yourself in the way you want etc. Catchy and all that too. Sophie sounds as brilliant as ever and the harmonisation with the backing vocals in particular is lovely. So some of the lyrics may be a bit questionable ("if you give us all your money we'll give you your dreams" for example is a bit dodgy) and the bridge could've been better (but it does provide a nice relief before getting back to the action and also "ooh ooh ayah" = <3 <3 <3) but it's mostly awesome. It's no wonder it's one of my favourite songs of 2016. Though it has been outclassed by "Wild Forever" for me, it's still so good. Also gosh she looks gorgeous in the parts of the video where she's wearing the white dress! But the video is unspectacular otherwise. |
