**** Pretty decent album. I was never a huge fan of Salmonella Dub and most of this is hugely derivative of their stuff which is understandable but makes it more difficult for me to enjoy. Also I've never been huge on Maori music but Tangaroa is a pretty fitting modern adaptation and surprisingly comes up as one of the better tracks on the album. It's not one I'm in a rush to listen to again, but it's a decent effort all round. 3.6/6.
*** Well this is a bit underrated because I am not huge listener of drum and bass music and I am also not a fan of it mixing with Maori music even though its got a meaningful message. But what lets me down in this album is the dub mix tracks. I kinda felt like it went overplaced and does deserve to be put in the last tracks. Tangaroa is a grower on me as I am slowly getting used to liking it and same with the video. Always On My Mind is still and mostly my only favourite that is certainly hard to beat. Did I find Tiki Taane's experiment of his taste? Well, I'll say in the middle of average. The album maybe dreamy or being dark but it gets a bit noodled around and half of the tracks in A-side sounds like he is not singing just too busy Dj the whole thing sometimes.
